Golf in and around Arusha

Around the city of Arusha you can find 2 Golf courses; the Gymkhana Golf Club located in the centre of town and the Course at the Ngurdoto Mountain Lodge, around 25km’s East of town, on the road to Moshi.

Gymkhana Golf Club

Located behind the Novotel in the heard of town, at this 9 hole – 72 par golf course it is possible to hire all equipment, caddies etc. The slightly hilly course is situated in a very pleasant garden with plenty of mature trees. It provides for a relaxed walk with beautiful vistas of Mt. Meru. So why not have some long drives and exiting putts during your stay in Arusha.

Individuals and groups welcome; dress codes are enforced so collared shirts and trousers are applicable. You can go it alone or we can arrange for you to enjoy the company of one of the affiliated members and enjoy a few stories as you make your way around the 9 holes of the Gymkhana golf club.

Certainly a great way to spend a morning relaxing if you are on a business trip or a break after returning from safari or a Kilimanjaro climb…

Ngourdoto Mountain Lodge

Nestled between Mt Meru and Mt Kilimanjaro, Ngurdoto Mountain Lodge is located within a lush coffee plantation, 140 acres, with natural streams flowing through the property, from Mt Meru. Ngurdoto’s Golf Course offers 9 holes and is located in the beautiful setting of the park boundaries of Arusha N.P – same dress code and conditions apply. Spend a few days enjoying the Ngurdoto Mountain lodges facilities, along with easy day visits to Arusha N.P. for wildlife game viewing and walking safaris.
