The location was mind-blowingly beautiful
The holiday hangover is over and I’m back at work… but before it all starts feeling like a dream thought I’d drop you a note with a big thank you!!
We had an absolutely lovely time! The selection of the camps was lovely – though I must say that the Karatu camp will have a special place in my memories. I thought the location was mind-blowingly beautiful. Esilalei too was a lovely experience, especially for me. We read about the Maasai way of life in the glossy pages of national geographic but to go to one of the bomas which had not been artificially done up for tourists was an eye-opener. I never realized how tough their lives are…
… And of course Charles was great company throughout – extremely patient through all my thousand and one questions :)
Hope we get a chance to come back to Tanzania sometime……
Warmest regards -
