Fort Ikoma bush camp

This bush camp is located near the North-Western boundary of Serengeti National Park, Fort Ikoma. Large amounts of resident wildlife can be viewed from your camp and during the wildebeest migration offers excellent game viewing. The camp offers permanent tents (see under the ‘Mid-Range’ tab) but also reserves a few spaces where we can bring our Mobile Fly-camping setup, taking you even closer to the bush.

The camp is quiet and set in typical Serengeti scene. As the camp is out of the park it is possible to conduct night drives.

Seronera wildlife lodge

Situated in the heart of the Serengeti plains, this lodge has been built on the wildebeest migratory route, which occurs twice annually.

Seronera Wildlife Lodge takes it name from this river which surrounds the lodge in a u-shape. With year-round water, this is the most reliable part of the park to view wildlife.

The Seronera Wildlife Lodge offers 74 standard rooms and 1 suite, all of which look onto the plains of the Serengeti. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms with shower attachments, third bed available on request.

Fort Ikoma bushcamp

This Permanent tented camp is located in the northwestern boundaries of Serengeti National Park.

It is a small volume camp, so if you are looking for a bit of piece and quiet from the more main stream lodges or feel like a bit of comfort mixed with a B2B mobile camp trip then Fort Ikoma camp is perfect. Simple but well furnished large safari style tents set in typical Serengeti scene over looking the endless plains.

Plenty of resident wildlife can be viewed from the camp and during the wildebeest migration offers excellent game viewing. As the camp is out of the park it is possible to conduct night drives.

Lobo wildlife lodge

Situated overlooking the Serengeti Plains. The word is definitely true upon experiencing uninterrupted views under an African sky from the pool.

The lodge has been constructed on a rocky outcrop, with the swimming pool having been built on a rock deck. The viewing deck and pool overlook the wide open plains and a water hole. The Watering point attracts a variety of visitors during the day and night. At Night the water hole is lit, attracting interesting nocturnal animals.

Lobo Wildlife Lodge offers 74 standard rooms and 1 suite, all of which look onto the plains of the Serengeti.

Mapito Tented Camp

Mapito Tented Camp is located at Ikoma, just beyond the actual boundaries of Serengeti National Park in the very center of Serengeti Eco System. It  provides its guests with an authentic Africa experience due to its colonial, old days hunter’s camp ambience.

Sitting snugly in a clearing surrounded by Acacia trees its 13 spacious walk-in tents create an intimate atmosphere for only 40 guests while indulging them with the amenities of a big lodge, as all tents are equipped with running water, flush toilets, hot and cold water showers, electric lights and mosquito nettings.

Its central location makes all parts of Serengeti accessible within short time and, being just outside the park, Bush Walks, Night Game Drives, Balloon Safaris and cultural experiences are other highlights organized by the camp.

Serengeti Wilderness Camps

Serengeti Wilderness Camp is a ‘seasonal’ camp located in the heart of the Serengeti National Park. The style of camp is simple, but with every comfort being taken care of.

Comprising just ten spacious tents, they provide comfortable beds and quality linen, with en suite eco-friendly toilet and bush-shower off an intimate dressing room area. Lighting is by 12-volt (solar powered) with bedside lamps provided. The tents each have a shady verandah, where guests may relax and read quietly or perhaps watch birds and animals.

A large, airy, central dining tent offers a comfortable lounge area with a small reference library and maps, and a recharging facility for cameras and videos. The safari chef prepares sumptuous meals for your enjoyment and special dietary requests are taken into consideration.

Serengeti Simba Lodge

Harmoniously nestled into the heart of the Serengeti ecosystem, set high on the Gambasage hill overlooking the famous Grumeti River, Serengeti Simba Lodge is situated on the main path of the annual Great Migration of wildebeest and zebra. With awe-inspiring panoramic views of the vast savannah, Serengeti Simba Lodge is home to prolific birdlife and a stunning array of large game including: lion, buffalo, cheetah, leopard, giraffe, elephant, bush buck, zebra, gazelle, topi and wildebeest. The vast wildebeest migration passes through twice a year on the annual trek through the Serengeti eco-system.

The lodge offers 13 uniquely designed and beautifully furnished tented rondavels, placed on their own raised decks, strategically placed for privacy and optimum views. Each spacious room has solar generated power and hot water, an en-suite stone bathroom with tub, shower and flush toilet and outdoor stone shower in complete privacy with hot and cold water.

The central building, dining area and pool are located on top of a kopje, ensuring a wide view across the Serengeti to the Grumeti River. You can enjoy an evening campfire while listening to the sounds of the bush and take the opportunity to eat breakfast outside in the fresh morning air.

Serengeti Kati Kati Tented Camp


A tented camp located in Central Serengeti, strategically located to cover the vast Serengeti Plains. The camp offers comfortable accommodation and a unique opportunity to enjoy a real safari camp experience. The camp is only a two hour scenic drive from Olduvai Gorge Museum and Grumeti River.

The small-scale camp offers 15 luxury tents with large king-size or single beds, en-suite showers and flushing toilets and full solar-lighting. A separate mess-tent offers cosy indoor and outdoor dining, after which you can relax under the stars next to a camp-fire.

Sabora plains luxury lodge

Undoubted the most luxurious Tanzanian tented lodge accommodation in the Serengeti. Situated in the western corridor of the Serengeti National Park on its own private and exclusive Grumeti Reserve.

Sabora Plains luxury Tented Camp is beautifully decorated in grand 1920s style. There are six elegantly furnished luxury tents all are air-conditioned and feature a bedroom and reading area, with bath and outdoor shower, viewing deck with own spotting scope.

The camp also has a dining room, lounge, wide viewing deck, heated plunge pool, jacuzzi, tennis court, and spa. Dine beneath elegant awnings, tables are set with crisp white linen, the finest porcelain, crystal goblets and silver.

EMC – Exclusive Mobile Camps

The fixed or permanent camp is almost like a safari lodge but offers a very real safari experience with all the trimmings of an up market lodge. The differences you will notice, is the quiet bush locations offering endless views and un-limited wildlife experiences.

The whole camp may at times have a maximum of 16 or so other guests, ensuring privacy perfect for the honey-moon couple. Mobile camps are designed in a way – and are usually constructed for a few nights and then ‘struck’ (or taken down) and moved to another site. Exclusive Mobile Camping version – or semi permanent camp, which combines the best of both fixed and mobile.

Designed to be moveable, but not at a moments notice, it means that the EMC camp can be relocated to follow the migration so when the animals move on, so does the camp – but not every other day or every week.

Grumeti river camp

Enjoy all the creature comforts as the staff Grumeti River Camp wine and dine you.

The 10 flamboyant tents raised on platforms are located under thatch roofing to escape the intense Tanzanian sun. Each of the 10 spacious twin-bedded tents, complete with en-suite bathrooms offer un- obscured views of a star studded sky. The Grumeti river and the wildlife that are drawn to it can be easily viewed from the comforts of these luxury tents.

Or head over to the domed bar area for sundowners whilst overlooking the river. The camp also has a swimming pool and leisure deck – both perched on the banks of the river where guests can view abundant pools of hippo at play.

Sayari Serengeti

Sayari Camp is an intimate seasonal tented camp that offers Tanzania safari accommodation in 8 luxury guest tents. Each of the tents is lavishly fitted out with contemporary furniture, spaciously designed to incorporate a King size bed.

With en-suite ceramic bathroom facilities. The tents all offer spacious private verandahs with comfortable couch and chairs, overlooking the vast Serengeti plains.

After game drives return to the lounge tent to completely relax, sipping on a Serengeti sundowner cocktail, whilst swapping stories of the days exciting events.

Kirawira Luxury Tented Camp

Only 25 luxury tents, all of which are individually furnished with select antique Victorian furniture and East African art. The safari-tents are raised on platforms set against the imposing backdrop of the western Serengeti make this tented accommodation unique in Tanzania.

Situated on a hill with commanding, uninterrupted vista’s of the Serengeti plains. Guests at Kirawira tented Camp may be lucky to witness the magnificent spectacle of millions of wildebeest crossing the Grumeti River during their migration across the Serengeti plains.

The camp offers a personal valet service to each tent, plus individual guest departure gifts. Everything about the camp is extravagant, draped in exquisite style, including the swimming pool with plunge-bath, waterfall, timbered viewing deck, parasols and sun chairs.

Serengeti Migration Camp – Elewana

Serengeti migration Camp is primarily a traditional tented safari camp, in a remote location in the northern Serengeti. The intention behind the design is to provide comfort in a natural style without losing contact with the environment.

The camp has just twenty luxury safari tents, which are arranged in pretty random fashion around the lodge. Each of the tents has an en – suite bathroom, with permanent plumbing and electricity is available for recharging batteries and the general running of the camp.

There is a good size pool with great views across the surrounding bush, July and November is when the migration centers around the camp sometimes crossing the river right in front the breakfast terrace.

Serengeti Sopa Lodge

Nestled in the acacia woodland on the edge of the escarpment overlooking the plains of the south-western Serengeti National Park, one of the most famous parks in the world, and host to the largest and most spectacular annual migration of the wildebeest. The lodge is set in the Nyarboro Hills, in the South West overlooking the Serengeti Plains.

Serengeti Sopa Lodge offers 69 standard rooms, all with 2 queen size beds,tastefully furnished with local fabrics and pictures. In the front is a veranda with 2 comfortable chairs and coffee table, with glass windows facing the vast Serengeti plains which extend as far as the naked eye can see.  Additionally, there is 1 room for physically handicapped and 4 spacious double-story suites.

An open dining area allows for a magnificent view of the plains, the walls are painted in a mud red colour with window like spaces holding artifacts found in the region. Set in a corner with a view of the Serengeti plains, the bar area is strategically placed with an uninterrupted view, and has a terrace for seating with comfortable chairs.

Klein’s Camp

This fine Tanzania safari lodge is located in the North-Eastern part of the Serengeti National Park in a private concession set aside for the exclusive use of Klein’s Camp’s 16 guests.

Hidden among the bush-clad Kuka Hills are eight intimate thatched cottages built using local stone to blend beautiful into the camps surroundings, all with en suite facilities and classic interiors. The cottages offer breathtaking views of the valleys and Serengeti plains that stretch out in a shimmering heat haze.

Elephants regular frequent the camp as they roam throughout the woodlands and breeding pairs of Black crested eagles can be viewed during game drives. Due to the location of this Tanzanian safari lodge, day and night safaris, in open 4×4 vehicles are permitted, all guides are highly trained, one can learn so much about the African bush from one of Kliens camps interpretive bush walks.

Mbalageti Serengeti

This luxurious Serengeti lodge accommodation in the Western corridor of the National Park consists of 26 luxury tented chalets and exclusive tented suites. Sunset or sunrise can be viewed from Mwamyeni hill, each side of the hill accommodates 12 of the 24 luxury tented chalets.

The Mbalageti Serengeti offers a great escape from the more populated areas around central Serengeti, so if you are looking for wildlife experiences at a relaxed pace then Mbalageti offers this and more. The swimming pool is a very welcome treat after returning from dusty day of game drives, it has a sweeping 360 degree view of the Serengeti so just to sit and try and soak up the enormity of it can be a breath taking experience. Early morning nature walks can be arranged arriving at a bush setting for breakfast. Perfect honeymoon escape.

Serengeti Bushtops

The exclusive Serengeti Bushtops is a seductive oasis of luxury tents, blending tranquillity and world class comfort with a raw, inspiring landscape, rich in extraordinary game and delivering a lifetime of beautiful memories.

12 luxurious, contemporary tents, including a double family tent consisting of two tents linked by a bridge, each facing the sunset and boasting 110m² of open-sided living area. Bedecked with beautiful wooden flooring, the tents host lavish facilities including en suite shower area, large private terrace, private hot tub, 24-hour butler service and 24-hour power supply.

Soroi Serengeti Lodge (Mbali Mbali)

Set high on a natural plateau with endless views over the vast plains of Musabi, Mbali Mbali’s latest addition offers endless views over the Serengeti, giving a truly unforgettable African experience. With its unique architecture and design elements, Soroi is a stunning Lodge located in a prime spot in the Western corridor of the Serengeti National Park.

Twenty- five individual thatched chalets complete with hardwood floorboards and dreamy mosquito nets are linked to the main lodge pathways by raised timber walkways. Asilia Dunia

Tucked between the prime wildlife areas of central and southern Serengeti, Dunia Camp combines elements of style and luxury with an incredible wildlife experience. The Great Migration passes through this area that is especially known for its abundance of lion, leopard and cheetah and the rare chance it offers to see the illustrious black rhino.

Each of the 8 spacious tents features an en- suite bathroom and private veranda overlooking the kopjes. The secluded setting in the Moru Kopjes is a retreat of tranquillity in the most scenic part of the Serengeti.

The Seronera River provides a constant water source and creates a forest region which follows the course of the river creating good cover for the elusive leopard. Strategically placed with easy access to both these regions, Dunia Camp is capable of offering superb game viewing throughout the year.

Serengeti Serena

Set high on the saddle of a tree-clad ridge, commanding panoramic views across the Serengeti, this lodge is the ultimate fusion of traditional African architecture and world-class style. Centrally located adjacent to the famous Western Corridor and Grumeti River, the lodge has been designed to blend completely into the living landscape. A series of traditional domed ‘rondavels’ are widely spaced throughout the grounds, which are cooled by groves of acacia trees and watered by sparkling streams.

Each charmingly presented room is accommodated in a two-storey (one up, one down) stone-built, traditionally-thatched ‘Rondavel’. Looking out over the plains, each has its own private balcony, private entrance, spacious bedroom, natural stone bathroom and intricately carved furniture.

Linked by shaded walkways and clustered around the roaring furnace of the central circular barbecue arena (operational breakfast, lunch and dinner), the high-domed halls of the two-tier dining room are supported by massive papyrus-topped pillars and embellished with sumptuous traditional ‘Makonde’ carvings. Outside is a circular terrace, which looks out over the grounds towards the swimming pool.

Bilila Lodge

Bilila Lodge Kempinski opened in 2009 in Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park.

All of the Lodge’s 74 rooms, suites and villas feature luxurious en suite bathrooms and are decorated with handpicked African artwork. Serengeti Safari Camp (Nomad)

This mobile tented camp was designed with a purpose in mind; to shadow the wildebeest migration as it covers hundreds of miles of the Serengeti National Park each year. So it should come as no surprise that it really hasn’t changed much since it’s early pioneering days.

For a few months of the year the migration is on our doorstep at Lamai Serengeti. But of course the wildebeest move and this is what the Serengeti Safari Camp is all about – understanding the Serengeti seasons and game movements and keeping up with them.

Serengeti Safari Camp has just 6 large walk-in meru tents, with a dressing area and then an en-suite bathroom at the rear. New eco-flush toilets and safari-style bucket showers, as well as jugs of hot and cold water delivered as and when you’d like them.

The main dining tent sits in the middle of the line of tents, with the fireplace right in front and a separate libary/bar tent nearby.

Ang’ata Camps

Another mobile camp in the upper-mid-range class, newly opened this year. From July to October, the camp is situated in the heart of the Serengeti National Park, then from December until the end of March, you will find this tented camp in the Ndutu area, following  the Migration.

Eight spacious tents offering two king-size and six double rooms, a flush toilet with running water and a (heated) bush-shower, provide for a luxury overnight whilst a central mess-tent offers good quality food and an opportunity to rest your legs and enjoy the sounds and sights of the Serengeti.
