Bila Mwisho Permanent Tented Camps
“Bila Mwisho” is Kiswahili for “without ending” or “endless”. Imagine yourself being surrounded by nature at her purest, with vistas stretching out across a Serengeti backdrop. A piece of prime bush privately selected to enhance the magic moments as you continue to discover the hidden treasures that Tanzania holds.
Over the years, we have found a number of very special (and private) places in the Tanzanian bush, which we have been able to secure for our own private Permanent Tented Camps. These special places combine the luxury and away-from-the-crowds feeling of our Bush2Beach Mobile Fly-Camps with real cultural experiences through local projects run by our Community Development foundation, the African Roots Foundation.
Ideally situated – completely sculptured and designed around nature and the lay of the land, using as much natural materials as humanly possible. The ethics, goals and ideas behind our two permanent bush camps are to remain as eco-friendly as possible and to merely manicure the bush rather than cut down a load of trees in order to construct a concrete jungle. Both properties – very different in themselves – have literally grown out of the soil that our spacious en-suite safari tents were set on.
As with each new season and in tune with mother nature the camps have blossomed and developed over the short time that we have been there and due to our presence and yours the bush with some tender loving care is flourishing and slowly getting a foot hold into the dusty earth once again.
Isoitok Maasai Tented Camp at Esilalei
Isoitok Maasai Camp, meaning many stones in Kimaasai (Maasai language) has a short history and story behind it which makes it very special in itself. If you – the intrepid traveler – are to venture our way and would like to understand and take a look behind the scenes in Maasai culture then a night or two at Isoitok is a must.
The camp is unique in regards to its relationship with the Maasai of Esilalei; Bush 2 Beach along with its own foundation African Roots Foundation (ARF) have been in partnership with the Maasai since 2007. As our relationship grew with the Maasai we slowly developed sustainable cultural tourism programs that would in term be an added value and very real experience for those who chose to travel with Bush2Beach.
The positive feedback from clients was never ending with what we were doing out there; the experience of being able to roam freely amongst the Maasai and learn about their beliefs, traditions and rituals in a relaxed and personal manner is the key factor we believe with any cultural encounter and experience.
