A compact well balanced wildlife safari that gives the intrepid traveller time to take in some of the highlights of the Northern Tanzania safari circuit. Like a great African buffet spread, this 4 x 4 vehicle based safari offers enough time to take in Tanzania’s fine National Parks along with Ngorongoro Crater. With time also built into the program to enjoy some untouched culture with traditional Maasai dancing and a guided walking safari with a ranger along the ridge of the famous Ngorongoro Crater which offers jaw dropping views to the 8th wonder of the world.
The pricing for this safari is based on a minimum group size of 4 persons signing up for this safari.

Below, we go through the adventure day-by-day, giving you a better feel of the adventure.
Day 1: 18th of September - Arusha to Tarangire
Depart from Arusha in the morning and begin the drive through a changing landscape to Tarangire National Park for game drives of the ‘Elephant Playground’. Picnic lunch in the park followed by game drives till late afternoon, then leave the park and transfer to Isoitok Camp Manyara where you gather around the fireplace for sundowner drinks and then enjoy dinner and overnight.

Day 2: 19th of September - Maasai cultural activities and Lake Manyara
Meet with your local Maasai guide who will introduce you to his village. Visit a Boma (mud dwelling) for an introduction into the Maasai way of life, beliefs and rituals. Return to the camp for breakfast and freshen up and then board the safari vehicle and transfer to Mto wa Mbu were you embark on a bicycle ride of the surrounding villages and the outskirts of Lake Manyara National park. On your return you visit the local market and then return to Isoitok Camp Manyara where the fireplace awaits again.

Day 3: 20th of September - Serengeti National Park
After an early breakfast you head via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the endless plains of Serengeti. Game drive en-route to central Serengeti – explore the many different areas of the park, your driver guide will advice on the best places to visit.

Day 4: 21st of September - Serengeti National Park
Optional: Early morning head out for a Balloon flight. View the Serengeti plains from a hot air balloon followed by champagne breakfast on the landing site.
A full day of game drives in Serengeti National Park. Head over to the Rock Kopjes where you have good chances of seeing some of the cat families. Cheetah and lion use this giant rock out crops as observation posts.

Day 5: 22nd of September - Serengeti to Ngorongoro
After breakfast game drives en-route out of the Serengeti, heading back through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area towards the Ngorongoro Crater. Continue to the crater rim and onto the NCAA HQ where you collect a ranger who will accompany you on a nature walk of the crater rim. Late afternoon head to the lodge and enjoy your dinner and overnight.

Day 6: 23rd of September - Ngorongoro Crater
Early morning descend into the crater for game drives. There are 25,000 large mammals residing in the park. The elephants are mainly bulls, females stay out of the park due to it boasting the largest predator population in Africa. Black Rhino also make their home on the grassy plains, their numbers make up for almost half of what can still be found in East Africa; about 20 in total. Leave the crater mid afternoon and return to Arusha.

Day 7: 24th of September - Back to Arusha
Leisurely breakfast then transfer to the airport for your flight connection or your next safari/beach destination. (B)
