Your own “Out of African Experience” is laced throughout this Wildlife Safari as you explore the highlights of Tanzania’s northern national parks. We can offer you a safari experience like no other. A mix of authentic African style lodges, mobile tented camps with a very real grass roots Maasai experience. The excitement of sleeping out under Africa’s fine star studded sky with the great outdoors buzzing and drumming out a beautiful night chorus for your evening entertainment. To understand how a mobile fly camping safari works, you will be with your own private game viewing vehicle and professional driver guide throughout this exciting wildlife safari arriving to a full mobile camp set up in a private “special” campsite! Fear not there will be no compromises to your comfort level as the fly camp consist of tents that take comfortable custom designed camp beds, both double and single with full bedding cancelling out the vision of wriggling in and out of a sleeping bag! The camps are well set with separate shower and toilet facilities, your own private mess dinning tent along with a private chef and camp crew to welcome you back after your daily explorations of the National Parks. A mobile camp safari is one of the most authentic ways to view wildlife and experience Tanzania’s great outdoors and plan unlimited game drives to your own rhythm and moo. Below, we go through the adventure day-by-day, giving you a better feel of the adventure.

Day 1: 15th October: Arrival

Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport where you will be collected and transfer to Ahadi Lodge located just outside Arusha town. Here you will meet the rest of your group.

Day 2: 16th October: Tarangire National Park

Transfer to Tarangire NP for game drives of the Elephant Playground. Picnic lunch in the park followed by game drives till late afternoon – then head to your private campsite located inside Tarangire National Park and enjoy dinner under the stars.

Day 3: 17th October: Tarangire National Park

Full day game drives of Tarangire National Park using your private campsite as a base to head out from – your driver guide will best advice you where and when to head out.

Day 4: 18th October: Esilalei Maasai Community

Dawn game drives of Tarangire National Park - then leave the park with a game drive en-route and head the short distance to the Maasai community of Esilalei. Meet with your local Maasai guide who will introduce you to his village. Get a better understanding of the natural medicines still used on a daily basis with a Maasai medicine walk of the surrounding area. Then continue down to a Boma (mud dwelling) for an introduction into the Maasai way of life, beliefs and rituals. Freshen up and enjoy a real cultural experience around the fire place with traditional song and dance.

Day 5: 19th October: Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast depart towards Lake Manyara National Park for game drives of this very diverse park. If you are lucky you may see the famous tree climbing lions. Picnic lunch in the bush followed by game drives until mid-afternoon – then slowly make your way out of the park and return to the camp.

Day 6: 20th October: Serengeti National Parl

Morning wake-up call with bird chorus. After breakfast you head via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the endless plains of Serengeti. Game drive en-route to central Serengeti – explore the many different areas of the park, your driver guide will advice on the best places to visit. In the evening you will head to your private Serengeti campsite and enjoy and evening listening to the sounds of the bush.

Day 7: 21st October: Serengeti National Park

Full day of game drives in Serengeti National Park. Head over to the Rock Kopjes where you have good chances of seeing some of the cat families. Cheetah and lion use this giant rock out crops as observation posts.

Day 8: 22nd October: Serengeti National Park

Full day of game drives in Serengeti National Park. Head over to the Rock Kopjes where you have good chances of seeing some of the cat families. Cheetah and lion use this giant rock out crops as observation posts.

Day 9: 23rd October: Ngorongoro Nature Walk

After breakfast game drives en-route out of the Serengeti, heading back through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area towards the Ngorongoro Crater. Continue to the crater rim and onto the NCAA HQ where you collect a ranger who will accompany you on a nature walk of the crater rim. Late afternoon head to Bougainvillea Lodge located in the Karatu Highlands.

Day 10: 24th October: Ngorongoro Crater

Early morning descend into the crater for game drives. There are 25,000 large mammals residing in the park. The elephants are mainly bulls, females stay out of the park due to it boasting the largest predator population in Africa. Black Rhino also make their home on the grassy plains, their numbers make up for almost half of what can still be found in East Africa; about 20 in total. Leave the crater early afternoon and return to Arusha.

Day 11: 25th October: Departure

After a leisurely breakfast at the lodge, slowly transfer to Kilimanjaro airport where you connect with your flight. (B)
